River refresh reverts to two column after posting, and I use three. Please help someone.

I am new to Elgg and enjoying the experence, but I have a problem when posting to the activity It does not place the posted text unless I refresh the page manually. I then discovered the plugin river refresh pluggin, this works but it reverts back to default 2 column pagee. The only way I can get back to 3 column is to click home (/elgg/activity) or manually refresh the browser.
I am sure this must be a quick code edit, can someone please help me.

. its on the hypewall posts,
ive spotted a possible solution on the github site for the refresh issue, but this does not cure why river addon only jumps back to the 2 column varent. Will try this evening to see if it really lies with php_curl extension.

Php curl enabled, still no update..
ok moved, to Wire and disabled hypewall..... problem solved....
