Elgg site became distorted

Hello,
Our Elgg community site suddenly became distorted, and stays like this even after we asked the hosting company to restore the site + db.
In the developer tab of chrome we do not see any errors/missing files, but the site doesn't look good.
It seems like some of the css style are missing, and a lot of the pictures.

RvR: It was looking very different before, and not all the pictures are displayed
for example: this page has a profile picture of someone, and it is not shown:

Try to deactivate your current theme (/mod/twist-rtl) and check your site again: seems on theme's issue
