Yeah, this is a cool idea.

We wouldn't really need the map, but simply the wire posts and dashboard, showing items dynamically. That would make it very fresh and lively.

I'm already working on such a plugin for a client, it's in a beta phase. It's based on vazco_gmap plugin.

That's actually not so hard at all.

What is the amazing part here? the automatically added twits or the gmap?
I don't have any use for google maps associated with my users...
