Hi all
In the Administration section of ELGG, (using v2.2.3) there is a Flush the Caches button. Obviously clear what this does. But next to this is another button: "Upgrade".
Can anyone briefly point me to some documentation on the purpose or function of this button, or if the documentation does not show it, can someone kindly explain to me what the purpose and use is for this button?
Why and when would I click on this?
I appreciate the guidance.
Kind regds

You must log in to post replies. If you've updated Elgg or a plugin to a newer version it could be that some upgrade scripts need to be run. For example Elgg could have changed something in it's datamodel. This upgrade needs to be applied to the database.
That's what this button does, check http://learn.elgg.org/en/stable/admin/upgrading.html for detailed changes between Elgg versions.
Clicking the button after you already clicked it once (or when there are no upgrade scripts) will simply flush the caches
Thank you Jerome
This is helpful and I will place this in my Admin Documentation.
Your help is much appreciated.
