You must log in to post replies.Not likely to happen. There were changes made in svn off the 1.5 trunk so there will be conflicts between my changes and the svn changes. I submitted several patches related to my changes and I think two were accepted. The others are stale now.
You could get the latest out of svn and integrate some of my changes and then submit patches to the core team. You'd just have to diff my version with the 1.5 version and then integrate into latest svn.
Groups need a rewrite...that's all there is to it. Groups are the definition of feature creep and have reached an unmanageable level of kludging and hackery.
As Cash said, a few of his patches were accepted and we're appreciative, but the solution isn't to patch at this point--it's to tear down and start again, which means it will take a bit longer but be well worth it.
This is high on my list because every time I touch groups I usually walk away wanting to strangle something, so it will not slip by. Look for a revamped groups plugin in 1.7 at the very earliest, 1.8 more probably.
