stop user registration on Elgg website and registration with Email invitation

hello, I am new on Elgg,
I search in Elgg setting to close user registration, but I can't find this ability. how can I close Elgg website registration? I search for plugin but I don't found anything.
can I change user registration type on Elgg website? for example, all present users can send invitation and only invited users can register on website.

You must log in to post replies.It's in the administration page. On the right side of the page, click advance settings. Uncheck the box:
Though it has to be noted that if you disable this option for new users to register any invited user will not be able to join either.
Maybe the "Invite Only" plugin (https://elgg.org/plugins/2448869) is of use for you. I don't know if it will work on Elgg 1.9 and newer. Most likely it will work at least on Elgg 1.9 - 1.12 but I can say for Elgg 2.X. You would need to try it for yourself.

I install that plugin and all plugin that required for registration with invitation code.
Another Question: How can I limit users to invite one user per month? or one user per week or per day?
