I am working with a friend who is a software developer to create a new Profile Manager fieldtype, for use with Profile Manager 10.0, well suited for asking multi-select, multiple choice questions, where users can select one or more responses from a list of 2 to 100 or more Administrator provided responses, and where users also have the option to fill in an "Other" text box.

The profile field will also provide site Administrators an interface where site Administrators can "upload" the 2 to 100 or more possible responses for each profile field with this fieldtype.

I am seeking advice and insights, and intend to offer this feature back to the Elgg community. Thank you.
