Why upgrade versions? what's different between them? 1.10 to 1.11 and 1.12?can I have my version forever ??
You can stay with one version forever but you will be left behind as far as security/feature enhancements and many/most plugins will not work in older versions.
With each upgrade, you get better features, more security and a modern script. It might not sound attractive but upgrading elgg keeps your server safe
