We have created a new translation project for Elgg 2.0 at Transifex: https://www.transifex.com/elgg/elgg-core-2/
This means that translation contributors need to add missing translations into the new project. Easiest way to do this is to upload the Elgg 1.x language files to the new project and then wait until the core team pushes existing translations to the new project, and then add missing translations for any strings that were added in Elgg 2.0.
A new project is needed because the translation strings are very different between Elgg 1.x and 2.x. If we didn't add a new project, we wouldn't be able to change strings in 2.x without it affecting the strings used by 1.x. In the worst case some strings in 1.x would had gotten removed completely.

@Juho: now the existing translations for blogs and bookmarks seem to be missing again. Could you restore them as it would save some work?
yes, I'll do it tomorrow
@iionly you're in fact one of the translation coordinators for German language. You should be able to upload the files yourself.
Choose a resource and select "Upload file".
Sounds like an idea that could be considered. I know for a fact that no-one will ever go through the trouble of translating docs in Finnish because Finnish devs are so fluent in English.
I'm not however sure if Transifex config supports fetching translations from two different projects. I didn't find any information about that with a quick search.
@iionly I've now re-pushed translations for the blog and bookmarks plugins for all languages.
@Juho: thanks. Of course, I would have been able to re-add the German translations. But my point had been that all translations for these two plugins were missing. Additionally, I really have absolutely no time at all for any work on Elgg at the moment and most likely this won't change in the next few weeks.
Elgg 2.x has now been configured to pull translations from the new Transifex translation project. This means that starting from the next 2.0 release (scheduled to September 9th 2015) the translations will be pulled from the new project instead of the old one.
To make sure that your language will be completely translated in the next release, add the missing translations before the release is done.
Ok, that's weird: the blog and bookmark resources were mixed up again. I could swear I already fixed them once and verified that the translations were pushed correctly.
Well, I've now fixed them and re-pushed the translations. Let's see if they work now.
Translations for Elgg 2 have now been pulled from the new Transifex project for the first time!
