Is 5.5 the correct version of php to run?

!.12??? I keep falling into this upgrade trap. This is the default theme - my own theme looks much the same..

and half the administration menu appears to not work....

Automatic upgrade on A2 hosting, yes...

Never liked the automatic installers/upgrades for just this reason, you have no idea what was done.

All I can suggest is checking the logs

I used Softaculos as well and made sure that I followed the docs.

There are other weird effects like no editor and the usual mostly non-working administration menu. I did suspect that it was the php version but I am running 5.5 so its not that.

I would suggest backing up the db and dataroot and installing it manually

I'll check but I suspect that as they are copied from the installation files they should be.

Reverted to 1.10.5 - thank goodness for backups!
