You must log in to post replies. It generates this error when accessing your site.
Please check your logs and provide some more information regarding the error.
You can also restore a backup.
A little more information also would help.
What version of Elgg are you running? Did you or your host just upgrade the PHP version?
where would the logs be under? and I don't have any backups available, and I don't know what other info to put and1.10.4 is the version I'm using for Elgg.... and what php version?
Check if your mysql is running
Maybe some more information about how you are hosting elgg..
Who is the hosting provider ?
What sort of access do you have?
Brad
I'm using Cpanel for the hosting
The problem is most likely at the system level. As mentioned, it could be a problem accessing MySQL or a filesystem full problem or an apache config error.. The failure mode is too generic to understand in detail.
Cpanel is normally just the hosting interface for install, upgrade and management tools. Godaddy, Hostgator etc.. normally implement tools to help you browse logs etc that can be launched within Cpanel.
Getting access to some logs will be a great help. Maybe you need to log a ticket with the provider.
You could try putting a simple HTML file in your directory and just check everything is working at basic level,.
This post give some basic info..

I would contact RJ (https://community.elgg.org/profile/rjcalifornia) since he works with Arvixe, for more help. If you're on cPanel then go under Metrics and click Errors.
Seems like its working now... I am glad you found a cause...
Thank You To Everyone Who Helped Me I Really Appreciate It.
