thanks its solved i also have another issue when i install a new theme it doesnt really take effect i only see fractions of it on the main page

yes thats the one i dont know if you can help me out but i am lost any time i install a new theme i dont see the theme on my site i just see some parts of the elgg default theme help me out please
Sometimes having multiple themes enable can through your layout out of wack. I don't know if these help but check if you have the aalborg_theme enabled. This happened to me before and it worked, not with this theme but others.

Like Alejandro said, check whether Aalborg theme is enabled or the Custom Index.
I've tested the theme with the latest version of elgg 1.9 and I can't replicate the issue
