I'm working on a social site and I can see the river is not fine on elgg 1.8 version. Plugin HypeAlive crashes my river and I'm trying to install Elgg 1.10.2 but it's impossible too, I see a white screen on install.php. Why is that?

What version of PHP are you running ? I had the same issue when first installing Elgg 1.10 and it was due to my php version.
I don't know how I can see my PHP version
Ok, I'm using PHP Version 5.3.10-1ubuntu3.11
Yeah you would php 5.5, 1.10 doesn't play nice with old php versions
The error log says that:
[Sat Feb 28 01:54:25 2015] [warn] [client 84.127.22.41] mod_fcgid: stderr: PHP Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '[' in /var/www/vhosts/licaweb.com/presupuestocero/engine/classes/Elgg/Di/ServiceProvider.php on line 194
Elgg requirements:
My server is OK for that requirements. I don't undestand why the Elgg installer is not working and I only can see a white page
Requirements haven't been updated yet, I've had your problem before and updating to php 5.5 fixed it.
Agreed - update your php to the latest and report back. It fixed my install
Your server is not meeting those requirements
The listed requirement is 5.4+ (which as mentioned may have been bumped to 5.5 for Elgg 1.10)
You previously said your server was running
Upgrade PHP and report back please!
