I've had reports from several of my friends who are using Windows can't register on my site. I have the register form on the front page and if that didn't work, I would redirect them to the /register view. There's no error visually or in the error logs. Has anyone experience this issue before?

What error are they seeing? Are you sure it's windows specific?
Yes, it was windows specific. I've done some testing with a few of them and they were able to register after enabling catch_workers_output in www.conf for php-fpm. Restarted and it's ok now. Not sure if it was enabling that fixed it or if a restart was all it was.
Ok, but what about web browser? Are they using IE or Chrome?
People still use IE?
Personally I hate IE. Fortunately they were using Chrome or Firefox.
Some people are clueless that entering their password again would need to match the first one. I should probably develop a checker unless a plugin has already been made for that.
I use IE and have never had a problem on any site, ever. Your 'people' are doing something wrong.
And it's not Windows either because that would mean 85% of all users would be having a problem.
That's a pretty bad usability problem that I'd lay at the feet of the people who wrote the login form (ahem... me...).
Core patches appreciated but yes, a plugin to improve that experience is the next best thing...
@Evan it's pretty straightforward, I added this to the second password input "Password (enter again, must match first password)" and hopefully it'll be clearer for them.
@Cim
That was the error? But that seems to be pretty straightforward.
