Ok i have not tested this but I dont see why i should conflict with anything.
This is how you add lytebox zoom to tidypics. I like lytebox cause it generally wont conflict with other js libraries.
First get lytebox
place files in root directory... put images in image directory but make sure you dont overright something.. prolly wont.
The hard party first...
Adding this to the header that is being used
<script type="text/javascript" language="javascript" src="lytebox.js"></script>
<link rel="stylesheet" href="lytebox.css" type="text/css" media="screen" />
I wont lie this is a bitch because many plugs want to rewrite the entire header.php file but a finally found where it needed to go... this will be different on everyone...
The correct format including php code for the files being in the root directory is...
<script type="text/javascript" language="javascript" src="<?php echo $vars['url']; ?>lytebox.js"></script>
<link rel="stylesheet" href="<?php echo $vars['url']; ?>lytebox.css" type="text/css" media="screen" />
This is because <?php echo $vars['url']; ?> gets the url of the site.
Well now the hard part is done. I wish I could give you better instructions but this really depends on your instal if someone knows an easier way please post it.
Now in tidypics we need to alter image.php
Around line 204 you will see this...
<?php echo "<a href=\"{$vars['url']}action/tidypics/download?file_guid={$file_guid}&view=inline\" title=\"{$title}\"><img id=\"tidypics_image\" src=\"{$vars['url']}mod/tidypics/thumbnail.php?file_guid={$file_guid}&size=large\" alt=\"{$title}\" /></a>"; ?>
Add the rel in here.
<?php echo "<a href=\"{$vars['url']}action/tidypics/download?file_guid={$file_guid}&view=inline\" title=\"{$title}\" rel=\"lytebox\"><img id=\"tidypics_image\" src=\"{$vars['url']}mod/tidypics/thumbnail.php?file_guid={$file_guid}&size=large\" alt=\"{$title}\" /></a>"; ?>
If you cant see it in the code it looks like this.
rel=\"lytebox\"
Be sure to whack out the quotes or you will break the php code... \ tells php to treat the quotes like any other part of the string and not the end of it.
then load it up and away you go... worked fine for me.

You must log in to post replies.I love the lytebox feature think its a very good feature for tidypics,
I am not sure I can understand your intructions but I will give it a go.
total newb question lol
what is the path to the header theme file for elgg?
I am only 4 days into using elgg and have not yet made it far enough to deal with themes. Can't even seem to find the default theme directory. seems like naming a folder themes or templates would have been a good idea lol...
thnx
Hi, is it possible to get a little more information as to which files to edit and there paths?
I am also a little confused where to put the folder images,is it to be placed in the same place as tidypics images, or is it to go in the root along with the other lytebox files.
Well I made it work by leaving the files in root and modifying the other files header in my theme template.
Leave the file sin the root dir and use the PHP code inside the HEAD> </HEAD tags of yout header.php theme:
mod/youtheme/views/default/page_elements/header.php
This is where my headr.php is
Now just add the " rel=\"lytebox\" to your Tidypics installation:
tidypics/views/default/object/image.php like he showed above. Works fine in the lastest tidypics release.
