Hello there. I'm having difficulty understanding how to make what I thought was a simple change: The logon screen background color.
I've installed Elgg 1.10 (brand new site).
Copied the Aalborg theme into a new custom plugin and have made no further changes.
Enabled the Walled Garden.
Any place I think it would make sense to make the change doesn't seem to work. And I have flushed the caches.
If anyone has successfully made this change, please let me know. I have other plans for the login page, but if I can't even change the background then I'm going to get nowhere.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

What and where have you changed?
Change background color from white to black.
/mod/aalborg_theme/views/default/css/walled_garden.php
.elgg-module-walledgarden {
position: absolute;
top: 0;
left: 0;
/*background-color: #FFF; */
background-color: #000000;
border: 1px solid #DEDEDE;
padding: 10px;
border-radius: 3px;
box-shadow: 1px 3px 5px rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.25);
}
Just a thought, after cloning the plugin, did you enable the correct one? Or if you have both enabled, is the clone positioned after the original?
Aalborg theme is deactivated and the new theme is active. And at the bottom of the plugin page.
Completely remove the original plugin, keeping both can still cause complications and errors.
I don't see how it would. But to be on a safe side change the id in manifest.
I have modified plugins before, deactivated the original, activated the modified 1, and ran into complications. Remove the original, flush / upgrade and hey presto.
I removed all references of "aalborg" and replaced with the mod's new name and path. There is nothing referencing the core mod.
Did you flush both the simplecache and the browser cache? I would say disable simplecache while modifying themes, life becomes much less miserable
I did flush the cache, and I shutdown the browser, tried a different browser, etc.
Am I even modifying the correct code?
