Hi when new useer make a registration receive this error

user Error :: Didn't receive 200 OK from remote server. (HTTP/1.1 500 Internal
Server Error)

in my elgg is installe elgg_jconnect for user integration with joomla website. Is possible a permission error. I rewrite permission in my public_html with 775 is doungerous?
