Hi guys, i am running my site using elgg 1.9.2, the bundled Aalborg theme, and 3c river.
I'm currently looking to visually upgrade the login / register pages to make them more pleasing to the eye and adding some gfx etc..
Also i am trying to find a way to 'remove' the standard member links such as : Avatar / name and Links on right hand side.
So i can use avatar and links provided by 3c river.
Any help and pointers is greatly appreciated.

Customize layout view and delete 'sidebar_alt' calls
Thanks, where do i start / look though?
In mod\aalborg_theme\views\default\page\layouts\two_sidebar.php
Brilliant thanks, so i delete everything you quoted?
hmm that deleted the left hand column...
Then try to remove
Yes
Tried both, and it completely deletes the corresponding column, i need the column to remain so i can use 3c river activity's modules, but remove the user icon / avatar, and the links such as Blogs, bookmarks etc...
;) This is called 'menu:owner_block'. You need to unregister it in your theme:

Thanks for the reply, checked all over the theme files and cant figure out how to unregister it at all :(
If you want it to be more "pleasing" to the eye then I would recommend learning some CSS
