Fixing the misspelled words in the registration hints

im using elgg 1.8.19 . In the profile manager you turn on the question hints on the registration page. In the hint for "email address" its spelled "emailadres"....... twice........
Where are the hints located so I can edit them and correct YOUR spelling? Doesn't matter to me if they're in the core as I have no intention of doing a new installation of elgg 1.9.

But most probably, the hint texts are given while you configure the profile fields in the admin panel
First, you should remember the original developers of that plugin speak English as a second language and would probably appreciate constructive feedback about any misspellings in their foreign language.
Second, changing language strings is well documented if you search.
Third, as an admin who I hope is concerned about his users, you should upgrade to 1.9 to keep your site safe and feature rich for everyone on who visits.
Finally, dropping the attitude is the best approach when asking for help in an foss project.
