Hi,
I have some issues with the notification system of the 1.9RC1, I think.
I follow several users but only a part of them appears on the list. Is it normal? Do I make something wrong?
When a followed user post an activity and the email notification is checked, I receive anything. It is strange, no?
Thanks for your helps.

You must log in to post replies.Note that notifications require cron minute to be set up.
"followed post on activity"? Are we talking about some plugin? Would need link to the plugin to help you.
It is the notification core plugin ? At this time, some friends are missing in the list and I can't check them. And when a friend is checked, I don't receive an email when he have some activity.
I see now that you mean by "follow". If you don't see your friends on the notifications settings, that's the problem. Can you check if problem persists if you disable any non-bundled plugins? If yes, we'd need some info on what exactly activity fails, what notification do you expect? Please make sure to call cron/minute, even manually to make sure that notification queue is fired. Good idea is to enable system notification as well to rule out possible problems at SMTP delivery level.
Ok. I try do to this and I come back. Thanks for the helps.
I think this is an Elgg core issue. Here on the community site I also only see 10 friends on the notification settings page and I can only configure the notification settings for these 10 friends. Maybe there's a $limit = 10 set somewhere - or more likely a 'limit' => false is missing somewhere in an e_get* call (as the default for limit is 10).
I can't say if it's only a problem on configuring notification settings or if the notifications themselves (from friends not showing up on the notification settings page) are also not sent currently.

Ok. I find something strange but perhaps I miss something too.
I have 13 friends in my friends list. I seems that the notifications plugin doesn't want to exceed 10 friends in the list. 3 friends are missing. Is it normal ?
I disable all the plugin for the test.
I go and test the cron now.
Thanks @Pawel and @iionly.
Hello,
I come back with one of the two issues. I don't receive the notification in the message box. Have you got the same problems?
Thanks.
