Does it only happen with Firefox or with other browsers, too? Does it happen on every uploads or only sometimes? And which uploader do you use in Tidypics - basic or flash?
You might also try if some other 3rd party plugin installed on your site is in conflict with Tidypics resulting in the upload errors.
Iam using Elgg version of 1.7 and it is occuring erros sometimes only in firefox and IE.
On Elgg 1.7 there's not much I can suggest for you to do. If you are not already using the Basic uploader in Tidypics I don't think you can do anything more to solve the issue. The Flash uploader in Tidypics is not as stable as the Basic uploader. With the Basic uploader I've not had any issues so far. If it's not the Flash uploader that is causing the issue it might be due to issues like too large files or memory issues that are not getting catched correctly (and therefore there's no error message or not the correct error message).
For Elgg 1.8 I've tried to make the Flash uploader more stable in the updated versions of Tidypics that I've released. Also, quite a number of other issues are fixed (though they might not occur with Tidypics for Elgg 1.7 but were introduced in the early versions of Tidypics for Elgg 1.8). Backporting all the updates from the recent version of Tidypics to Elgg 1.7 is something that too much of an effort. If anyway possible you should rather try to make an update of your site to Elgg 1.8 possible. If all the 3rd party plugins you are using are already available for Elgg 1.8 you could update already now. If there are no updates available for some plugins, you should think about what to do with them urgently: either look for alternative plugins, or try to update these plugins (on your own or let someone do it for you). When Elgg 1.9 gets released the support for Elgg 1.7 will end: any security issues remaining in Elgg 1.7 won't get fixed anymore!
