Upcoming beta release

It's very close. Just some minor css tweaking and testing. If you have been been using svn, make sure you upgrade Tidypics if you grab the latest. The upgrade link is in the Tidypics Administration area.

  • Checked the latest version out from svn, and Tidypics couldn't show any pictures what so ever.

I think I'll wait for the final release using an older svn version that works :-)

  • What you see in svn is basically what the beta will be. I went back and did a fresh install of Elgg 1.5 with Tidypics 1.5.1. When I loaded the newest TidyPics code without upgrading, no images showed. Once I upgraded, everything worked.

  • how do I get smaller icons for the front page. Got the code for it, any options?

  • BTW, nice job on the CSS, I tossed my old css and only had to make one change to get it to fit in with my site.

    group widget

  • Didn't touch the group widget css - might not before we release the beta.

There is a new function for displaying on the front page: tp_get_latest_photos()

If I remember correctly, it is the smaller icons used for the activity river. Take a look at tidypics/lib/tidypics.php

  • @Tidypics Team

The svn version I have running on my site now works, but doesn't have any "Upgrade" function as far as I can see.

So what route should I take to upgrade to the latest version?

I would hate loosing the pictures allready in there... :-)

  • 1. refresh your view cache by changing the plugin order or turning a plugin off and then on

    2. go to Tidypics Administration - the settings tab

    3. If you see a link that says upgrade, click it. If you don't see that link, you are already upgraded.

    4. The upgrade process makes 2 minor adjustments to the database that are easy to change back

  • @Tidypics

I got that part, just don't know what to enter in for values

    echo tp_get_latest_photos(3);

I know 3 is the amount of images, and I need a comma then another value. That is as far as my knowledge goes. I tried looking at the code to figure out the parameters, but got lost instead. Would I be close with?: '&size=thumb'
    Thanks
  • @skotmiller - it should use the smallest thumbnails already. I'm not sure what you are trying to do. You shouldn't need another parameter to specify thumbnails.
