What exactly is it in the Facebook profile that you want to have in the Elgg profile ?
Well, there are some "Facebook" themes for Elgg available (Facebook theme, Cool theme). Even if I would not suggest to use these themes as I think they are all quite buggy, you would at least be able to learn how to make the profile pages look like a Facebook profile page by studying the code of these themes.
