How to rename the wire in elgg-1.8.16 ??????????? HELP
Hello after a few days of searching there is no clear instruction or tutorials or plugins to rename the wire to maybe somthing like posts or other names that admins may want to use, i am willing to change the core files as having the name the wire is not original at all for someone trying to be original, i would really appreciate some information and help and maybe a plugin? i noticed there is a plugin but it does not work for elgg-1.8.16 only for 1.7, should i down grade elgg? : (

do i need to deactivate the wire? the origanl the wire plugin? thanks alot by the way you seem to know your stuff :)
Original The Wire plugin needs to be enabled. This plugin just overrides the file that contains the english translations.
Also make sure this plugin is after The Wire in the plugin list. Otherwise it won't override the translations.

Yes, below the original plugin. At the bottom is fine.
still doesnt work lol you tried your best i dont know what else to do now it still does not show on settings under plugins , no settings option for the rename wire plugin : (
What settings? There are not supposed to be settings in that plugin.
The strings in rename_wire/languages/en.php just override the original strings.
ah i see ok, i am deleting other themes i have as plugin i am not using see if that works : )
this is how it looks in pluggins
i have moved the wire original above the rename wire and still does not work no changes also if i reverse them change them round still does not work
