How to rename the wire in elgg-1.8.16 ??????????? HELP
Hello after a few days of searching there is no clear instruction or tutorials or plugins to rename the wire to maybe somthing like posts or other names that admins may want to use, i am willing to change the core files as having the name the wire is not original at all for someone trying to be original, i would really appreciate some information and help and maybe a plugin? i noticed there is a plugin but it does not work for elgg-1.8.16 only for 1.7, should i down grade elgg? : (

What prevents you from using that plugin with 1.8? I think it should work.
it does not work the whole site was not accsessable when i used it any recommendations please? : ) maybe try again? i will try again while i wait for your reply
See the server error logs for information about what breaks the site.

kills the site, the site is dead will delete from server again, i dont know how to accsess server logs, the site, is there any other way? are you using this plugin on elgg-1.8.16?
basically the plugin kills my site completly dead like it does not exist

Buddym1: You can actually take the real The Wire plugin from 1.8 core plugins and make the chnages i.e. rename it.
This was for Elgg v 1.7
but how do you do this exactly because not 1 person tells you how i have searched google for days, by the way really appreciate your comments and time : )
basically instead of it saying post it on the wire would like to just see , post it, and name it posts
I'm not using this plugin. But translation plugins are really simple, so there shouldn't be any technical reason this plugin wouldn't work also on 1.8 (apart from the error you are facing). Contact your server host and find out how to access the server error logs.
