Hey my programmer wanted to upgrade my hosting account to a PHP 5.4 from a PHP 5.3. However, when we went to a PHP 5.4, the Elgg script vanished off our domain. When he put it back to a PHP 5.3 the Elgg script showed up again and so did our whole site.
We have a new classifieds script that requires PHP 5.4 and above. However, when we update it to PHP 5.4, the Elgg script doens't seem to work.
Any ideas on what to do?
Thanks!

You must log in to post replies.i didn't have any challenge with using php 5.4 with elgg. (php 5.5 is more challenging for me because the method of connecting to sql is changing there).
without knowing the full details of your server i am unable to give detailed advice. i would begin by exploring the log files on the server to look for php related errors that only appear when php 5.4 is installed.
Hi!
What's your host? That shouldn't happen with elgg, you need to ask your hosting about this

What kind of programmer he is? If you are using apache add the line below in top of htaccess to change php 5.4 to php 5.3
