Is there anyone interested in funding a "multisite project"?

Thinking:

• Projectowners collect money via a site like Elance.
• On Elance we find some programmers who would like to participate on developing the multsite on github
• On github we can have
  • a master branch with the GPL version of the multisite (for supporting the Elgg project)
  • some subbranch or fork, where we can have a private and funded version for those projectowners and freelancer, whom want to participate (for all the cool and expensive features)

Or we could just release it all as GPL.. :)
