You must log in to post replies. This depends a lot on the server timezone. I had this issue before and didn't know what was wrong till I realize the server was in another timezone and that was it didn't timeout.

Hi rjcalifornia,
I have test in my server the session max time out is 1440. now i need to logout when the user didn't give any input or action to server.and what is the user of the refreshtoken ? if i will hide this the page will expired or not ?
Hi
What is the max time of session expired in elgg.and i need to expired in 30 min.please any one tell me how can do this.
Normally the sessions will end when the user closes the browser window unless they have checked the remember me option. If you want to logout the user after 30minutes of inactivity, use some javascript to listen for user inputs and then destroy the cookies.
Hi Team Webgalli
how can possible this ? bez user in any of the page in the site, how can server realize the user inactive in 30 mint and which cookie i need to destroy ?
Its not server, but the browser can listen to user activities (like mouse movements) and there are options to manage cookies also via javascripts. To learn aboout elgg sessions look into the codes inside engine/lib.
Hi Team Webgalli
Can you please give me any link or example mouse and key action
