I am new to elgg, and I don't have much knowledge in code editing, but I need to change all file views on my entire site from the default simple lists e.g http://elearn.makererecollegeschool.com/file/all?&list_type=list to a gallery list and make it the default e.g http://elearn.makererecollegeschool.com/file/all?&list_type=gallery . the hardest part am facing is displaying gallery view for files in folders e.g http://elearn.makererecollegeschool.com/folder/group:206/yourfolder . I appreciate any help, please give me some idea what to do, and I am ready to try it out. I understand editing core is dangerous but since the site is needed a litttle bit urgetly, I am willing to do anything, later on I will dedicate my time to developing a plugin.
