I am using my hosting plan for elgg and another site, the other site uses a directory called playground for its root but elggs .htaccess is blocking that site from being viewable how can I open up just that one directory to the public?

You must log in to post replies.hmmm so in the root you have one site and on a subdirectory elgg?
That shouldn't be a problem. What do you have on 'playground'? is it an html page or another CMS?

on my previous shared hosting ~ used to have lots of subfolders and subdomains on my root dir, no issues - my (main) root dir was non-elgg; all elgg installs used to live in subdirs.
