Is it practical to activate the same plugin twice from one's list of plugins? I would like to use the blog plugin for my users to publish certain content, but still run the legit blog script too. I'd just change the plugin folder name and a few things in the language file. Would Elgg see this as two separate plugins or get confused?!

Thanks' a lot, costakisc, but I already set up the blog plugin for my articles publishing with modified language file. It seems fine for that and I don't plan on using the blog as such. One puzzling thing though is that when you click on the Preview button, it returns a blank form with no link back or Save button. Going to the main menu shows that the Article was in fact published. Will have to research this further. If you don't Preview but click the Save button, you see the published content.

the problem with modifying core files/plugins is it causes issues on upgrades as the core files/plugins are overwritten.
