Hi ,
Please revert the search option to the original option as Google search option is not at all good option. We did not get the elgg category search result. Which was very good search option. Not sure why we are promoting Google here..
I would suggest if Google search is require user can search directly from the Google.com. Or still you think its required in this site please add Google search option as one more option to search.. Really it’s very bad if you search something in this site and your getting redirect to the Google.
Please revert to original search ASAP.

You must log in to post replies. You can use this method to search from community instead of google. visit this link
where word is what you want to search..
Thanks
Thanks!! But Do you not think this should be default search option not Google search should be default..
I think most people used google to search elgg community anyway. I know I did. Default elgg search is very very limited.
@@ Mark Google search should have extra feature in the site not main search feature. One more thing it’s really weird when u search something you’re going to google.com.
Any community form have their won search not any third party search like Google.
Ideally the community should have it's own search but who has the time to implement it? A good search is really hard to achieve. Mysql full text search, which i presume the community was using, isn't much good. I'm sure the team will get around to it but it takes time.
Agreed but basic text search which was there previously should also be there in the site.

Frankly I'm surprised so many people used it... I'd switched to googling long ago. This obviously means that a better integrated search should be fairly high on the priority list.
