someone made a howto about transferring an elgg network. I'll try to find it again. I hope it works out.

did you run upgrade.php? also if you're moving servers, chances are file permissions aren't set properply. like user/group owners for that elgg installation

Im getting this when I run upgrade.php

Also at least 5 pieces of information must be changed from the copied installation:

• engine/settings.php file
• .htaccess file
• database entry for your site entity
• database entry for the installation path
• database entry for the data path

did you do all that stuff?

add this to your engine/settings.php at the top below <?php

date_default_timezone_set('America/Denver');

@speedysnail6 - yes I did all of that..

question I change the prefix from elgg_ to rtms_ can this be the cause why the upgrade.php is not running?
