Your data directory C:\xampp\htdocs\data/ does not exist.
We need some information about the site as we configure Elgg. If you haven't created a data directory for Elgg, you need to do so now.
whatever i did, i couldnt find any solution to can pass this step at installion.
i found a way, make data folder at outside of elg main folder.

or you didn't make the folder called "data"
The instructions encourage you to place your data directory outside the web root. Just be careful :)

On production server I have my Data folder inside the web root. is this an security issue . If yes can you please let me know how t move data directory outside the Webroot without losing any data.. Thanks in advance for your help !!!!
