Apperently the latest version of Event Calendar plugin is here:
https://github.com/kevinjardine/Elgg-Event-Calendar/tree/full
I tried to install this version, I am getting all sorts of error messages. To reach to this latest version, I downloaded two other versions. One had a name starting with "kevin_.." in the end I deleted all the plug-ins and install the one above. It gives a long list of errors when I install it.
What am I doing wrong?
And more importantly why the person who developed this plug-in does not update it in the elgg web site so that people download the latest version from elgg not from another web site?

You must log in to post replies.I think github names the downloaded zip file by the repository name, so you need to rename it 'event_calendar'
I don't know why Kevin hasn't updated it here, it may be that he's doesn't consider it complete yet. That's his prerogative.
I've asked Kevin why the Elgg 1.8 version isn't available for download here at the site only a few days ago. The answer was slightly disappointing. He won't upload it here because he limits support to paying clients. I guess too many people wanted improvements for free...
Anyone can still download it for free at github but that's all.
Regarding your problems try to follow Matt's advice. It's mandatory that the plugin folder is named "event_calendar".
Thank you all for your replies. I have seen some plugins which are available through purchase. But I would like to stick with the software supported by the community. If I can get away with it, I will try not to use this plugin.
