Rivertalk is pretty good and lets you embed/upload images and files etc, works pretty well..

also hypewall is a good and more like facebook, but the image upload doesnt work yet in firefox :S and you need to install the hypeframework plugin as well

I have tried both of them but I am using the Facebook theme with elgg 1.neither neither one of them will work 

Sorry I am using elgg 1.8 and my theme isFacebook 1.4 and I can not get either one of those to work when I tried it was giving me errors 

Hi Tech it could be a theme issue, or another plugin conflicting, or even sometimes the priority of plugins, try moving the plugin further up or a different position mines only a test site so I can run the upgrade as well and then it if goes totally wrong Its ok, though never had a problem with it yet..

try enabling the default elgg theme and see if you stil have the issue and if you do, then at least you know its not theme related, and possibly another plugin conflicting, or maybe some file got slightly corrupted during download or upload etc

there is another theme very similar to facebook theme too but with tool tips etc, and I Think slightly tweaked, could always just see if you still get an issue with that

Ok I will try that do you know of any plugin that will auto update the comments to keep them updated like refreshing the river  

 Also is there on to allow to advertise on the right side of thescreen

the comments already automatically go to the river.. (most of them anyway)?

and not sure about ads as ads really isnt my thing, but I think I saw a plugin for something like that on github, a good way to find stuff is go to github

and just type elgg in the search, there is all kinds of treasures there.. just make sure to check its compatible for version 1.8 etc

Ok I will look butether comments do not auto update as comments comes in without refreshing a the page 

to use the river talk do I need to deactivate the wire plugin

you don't need to I don't think (Can't remember) I think it mentions it if you search the rivertalk plugin page, It does use its own version of the wire, but I think you can still keep it enabled if you still want a seperate wire page
