you can't just ban a whole country lol. what if someone from the US decides to spam you?! you're gonna have to ban US hahaha. my recent spammers are actually local, that lives an hour away from me. they are using a web host to mass register on my site. i checked their IP and it says ISP: egihosting.com

@cim: no joke - but cpl of years we had a stalker (remember we're a kiddie site) - and he kept changing ip#a b/c dialup. so simple idea - block the whole country! everyone else on my team whined ;-)  but - we had only abt 10 users in that country! and sooo. pull the plugs on stinky man! *and* some 6 mnths back we had a another one from diff country - some * who was also a user here at @elgg * who was posting porn at my site! i had thought of PM`ing Brett et all abt that, but figured they won't really care about the troubles of just another elgg user's troubles and feelings ;( - sooo back to the htacess we go! and = no moare! and that person actually came back here @elgg to PM me to say 'sorry' ;-) ?? ike i cared or gave a shz.
