Dear friends,
Good Day!
I am using elgg 1.8.8 version with cool theme.
Now if I visit my site as guest www.mydomain.com it shows only river activities and login area.
but when I visit my site as guest http://www.mydomain.com/register then does not show river activites. and shows a nice sign up page.
So my question is how i can make default this page >> http://www.mydomain.com/register page instead of this >>> http://www.mydomain.com/ for guests only?
I want my guests if they visit my http://www.mydomain.com/ URL then they see only http://www.mydomain.com/register content but the URL will remain the same as http://www.mydomain.com/ without /register
I hope you understand what I want,
Look forward to your kind reply / help.
Many thanks in advance
Cheers

You must log in to post replies.Go to your hosting control panel. Look for Redirects. This will let you redirect the link at http://www.mydomain.com/ to http://www.mydomain.com/register...
The elgg way of doing it is:Take a look at custom_index plugin coming with Elgg. And use the <?php echo_elgg_view_form('register');?> to show the registration form.
@Team Webgalli, Thanks for your reply but in which file and line I need to insert these codes <?php echo_elgg_view_form('register');?>
I did try putting in some places but getting error, don't know what is the correct location to insert those codes. Please advice.
Many thanks in advance
