Hi, I am new to Elgg.
I installed elgg-3.3.17 and it seems working well with Japanese.
However, when a new user tried to create his account, he received a validation mail in English,
even though I setup the site default language as Japanese.
I found that vendor/elgg/elgg/mod/uservalidationbyemail/languages/ja.php contains English for that part.
So I changed the part into Japanese.
But still a new user receives the validation mail in English.
What should I do?
Thanks.
Ueki

You must log in to post replies.I found mod/uservalidationbyemail/languages/ja.php. So I changed it as well.
But still I got an English mail.
I recommend to use Translation editor to manage the translations on your site.
You can learn more about the internationalization on Elgg.
It depends on what language your users are using and what default language you've set in the Site settings.
Sorry for my delayed response.
Finally I managed to use Translation Editor and could translate the validation message into Japanese.
Thanks!
