I'm sure this is a simple, easy fix. I just don't know where to look to fix it.
I'm very happy with Elgg fresh out of the box. It does everything I want and I don't want to change any functions - which is great because I'm not that interested in coding.
However, while I was testing it out with a user profile, I got a verification email which, while it functioned perfectly, HAS A TYPO. As a writer, I can't stand it. It makes my official site emails look spammy to new registrants. Where do I find and eradicate the typo?
Here's the verification email text:
Hi PR,
Before you can start you using Cast, you must confirm your email address.
Please confirm your email address by clicking on the link below:
Otherwise, I'm thrilled with the basics here. I just need to delete one word in the verification email. I was sure someone else must have noticed and fixed this typo before, but I can't find a reference to it in the existing topics.
Please help.
This is Elgg 3.3.7, I named my social site Cast, and I have it on a subdomain of my main site.

You must log in to post replies. This is https://github.com/Elgg/Elgg/blob/3.3/mod/uservalidationbyemail/languages/en.php#L12
Of course, you can edit this file -> save it -> run 'Flush the caches'.
But you will lost all changes in next Elgg update.
So, I very recommend to use this awesome plugin to edit any language strings which you want.
Please, read these docs (especcially about vsprintf syntax) to don't make fatal errors on your site.
I've made a pull request with a fix at https://github.com/Elgg/Elgg/pull/13252. If this PR gets merged the error will be fixed in the next release, i.e. Elgg 3.3.8.
In the meantime, you can correct the string yourself as RvR suggested by editing vendor/elgg/elgg/mod/uservalidationbyemail/languages/en.php (or if you installed Elgg with the zip file edit mod/uservalidationbyemail/languages/en.php). If the wrong string is fixed in the next Elgg release you would have to edit the file only this one time now.
