I have a A2hosting site with elgg installed. I just installed it and the page is all plain text and links, no sort of styling or anything. You can see what its doing here if you'd like:

I don't think this is what it is supposed to look like, is it? I don't know how to fix this... so any help would be much appreciated!

1 - Seems, you made a typo in your domain name during installation or setup: two // slashes at the end (view page source Ctrl+U).
It breaks all viewes and caches.
Learn how to fix it: you must check elgg-config/settings.php and .htaccess files
2 - Or you have a problem setting up the server (again, .htaccess file).
Ask your hosting support about it.
3 - Server's error log can say more. Check out it.
4 - Read this documentation also.
5 - Don't forget to clear the caches.
6 - Community has a search option ;)
Thanks, I will follow along these steps. In an effort to fix this, I have changed the domain, please see this link for future reference:

Looks good for me but only on http://www.homeschoolheritage.org/ not https://
Yeah that link just got defaulted when I posted it... By "looks good" do you mean you can see the styling? I cant...
Yes, i can.
Try to clean your browser's caches.
After log in site, go to Administration and click on 'Flush the caches' button on the 'Control panel' widget.
I cleared the browser caches, and that loaded some of the CSS, but I am still missing some icons and can't log-in, so there must be an issue with the connected db.
On the client side all OK, no errors in the console.
So:
Trying, I am pretty bad at this kind of thing (Thats why I decided to host online... thought it would be easier.) I can't find the A2 server logs but I'm trying
Check in elgg-config/settings.php:
As your site is not on SSL, so you should edit this option on:
Skip it if this option is disabled / commented.
Now try to log in and run 'Flush the caches' as I suggested above.
