I think you mean a widget on the profile or dashboard of your users?
Yes you can you can configure the widget in the default widgets admin section and 'pin' it. This will maintain a relationship between the added widgets and the default one. Changes in the configuration of the default widget will take effect on the profile/dashboard of the users.
If you have the widget on the index page, only admins can edit the content and therefore users see what you put into it.
Just on everyone's profile?
If you update/change the information in the Free HTML widget it only appears on new installations of the widget.
When you have to manually update it in 3000+ members profiles its a bit of a pain!
Anything happening with regard to this Jerome?
i see what is happening... there is a logic in widget manager that will cache widget contents for free_html widgets (as it will never change). However is does not take into account that there is a relationship with a 'fixed' widget parent. So if you update the parent, the cache of the related widgets will not be updated.
Good chance you only need to comment out this line https://github.com/ColdTrick/widget_pack/blob/master/classes/ColdTrick/WidgetPack/Widgets.php#L23
Off course you can fix this also with a custom hook, that removes the free_html widget out of the cacheable array.
I will think of a way to update the cache if the widget is related to a fixed/pinned widget (https://github.com/ColdTrick/widget_pack/issues/11)
Thanks Jeroen!
