i have been working on my local site here (v 2.1.2) and while making some CSS changes i found that i was not able to log in to the site at all. every time i enter the login credentials i am taken to the login page with no error messages being output anywhere. i have added the folder 'disabled' to the mod directory and then run upgrade.php to clear the cache of all plugin information and i can view the site in it's basic form ok, but am still unable to login. there is nothing relevant in the logs! i have never seen this behavior before and have no idea what the cause is. i have run a repair on all the database tables in phpmyadmin, but that made no difference. anyone seen this before?

You must log in to post replies.one thing i do notice is that even with the 'disabled' folder in place, the site's menu contains a few entries that relate to my site, as if they have been cached and cache hasn't cleared properly.
hmm.. i have replaced the database (all databases) with a fresh dump from my working server.. i have replaced the data folder from my working server. i have replaced the elgg source code with a fresh download from elgg.org.
now i am unable to access the site at all and am seeing this in the log:
since this resource IS available and in the right place and i don't have anything else to go on.. anyone got a clue!?
not sure, what i did but it's working again now. !?
I think that it's a situation when you've had enough Internet for the day LOL :)
exactly right.. sometimes it is only the non-physical nature of the internet that keeps it out of the dumpster!
