Has anyone been able to make use of the jquery ui autocomplete framework within CKEditor?

You must log in to post replies. What kind of use case do you have in mind?
The mentions plugin uses the livesearch feature provided by Elgg core to implement username search within CKEditor https://github.com/Elgg/mentions/blob/master/views/default/js/mentions/autocomplete.js
It doesn't however use jquery ui's autocomplete.
Looks exactly like what I need. Need to up your plugin score in Google :-)
I have to admit the current implementation is a big buggy. I haven't figured out how to properly access and manipulate CKEditor's content area.
I just tested it and it seems to be working fine for me. In what use case do you find it fails?
This being said, I must say the CKEditor API is not nearly as well documented as Elgg...
IIRC the search works only with one username. When you try to write a second one the search doesn't work.
Or maybe it was that if you start a new paragraph, it won't work? I don't remember right now.
