What plugin of the theme do you use?
@ Lynn
I suggest that you use aalborg_theme
if you want to modify the background color for your web (Elgg)
here is the procedure:
Elgg/mod/aalborg_theme/views/default/css/elements/layout.php
Replaced with this
#4787B8: Blue
Put the color of your choice, after having modified the color, to disactivate aalborg_theme, then to activate and the bottom of screen will change.
Excellent tip, suggestion. I know they strongly suggest you don't edit the core but to create a plugin.
For the feedback and planning suggestion, have this value set as default to white in the file making it easier for a user to change. True they will have to update it at each upgrade but that is fairly easy to do. Have it like this:
Sweet ... thanks guys!
Aalborg's theme is now a core plugin so I wouldn't edit it. Just activate it and have another plugin built on top of it.
Now I'm confused again. Why shouldn't I edit the Aalborg core them? what will it hurt?
All your edits are gonna be gone when you do an Elgg update, that's why you should edit other core plugins using a custom plugin.
Because it is part of the core. When you upgrade, the changes done will be gone.
You can put the css rules in this plugin and simply enable it. Make sure, you place it below the alborgtheme in the admin panel
Ah ... so Team Webgalli saves the day! ... lol
