Guys, I installed everything and it all works.
I also installed Netbeans with PHP.
Let me know if you can put the Elgg framework in Netbeans.
If you like to do? Or what?
Thanks to all

You must log in to post replies.What are you asking for? This question isn't clear enough to answer. If you installed it and everything is good to go, what's the problem?
In short words, Netbeans does not recognize the Elgg framework.
How should I do?
It's still not clear what you are asking about. In what kind of way are you expecting them to work together?
I am the beginning, I'm writing the Hello World program.
I'm following the tutorial provided.
I have to write the php file as follows:
<? php
elgg_register_event_handler ('init', 'system', 'hello_world_init');
hello_world_init function () {
}
elgg_register_event_handler is not recognized, because ????
I hope you understand this time ... :)
Oh, I think I understand now! So you would like to have a plugin project in Netbeans so that the changes you make to it immediately take effect in your Elgg development environment?
I often use symbolic links (in Linux) to link individual plugin projects form my IDE workspace to the mod/ folder of my development environment.
I haven't used Netbeans in a long time. Does it have some kind of feature like "Create/import a new project from an existing folder"? You could then select the folder that you have created in your mod/ folder.
Ok I get it. But it does not give me the function elgg_register_event_handler.
Do you mean autocompletion? I have Elgg as a separate project in my IDE, and I have configured the IDE to use the Elgg core project as a reference for all the individual plugin projects.
But for that you'll have to take a look at the Netbeans manual. There's nothing Elgg specific about that.
That was what I was looking for ... but how did you ??? Thank you for your patience and aid ..
I tend to make the whole elgg installation the project in netbeans, that way netbeans automatically recognizes it, and the framework code is right there and browseable/searchable if you need it.
I write all the steps to include Elgg in Netbeans? Please?
