Your first task is figuring out how friend requests get into the system and are stored. Look for an action.

i am using friends_request plugin...any help...
As steve mentioned, look inside the action folder. In the add friend action you can see the relationship name used as "friendrequest". So instead of using "friend" relationship, use "friendrequest" in your code.
