On my elgg install I am running 1.5 All standard code
This morning I went to one of my groups - Clicked on Group Discussion and got a blank Page
This was a 1st.
Decided to do some checking
I have a total of 10 groups on my install
9 of the groups allow me to goto the group discussion tab with no problem.
The other 1 just gives me a blank page.
There is nothing special or different in the group from the other group?
Any idea what could be causing this or what I can do to fix this?

can you change an ids on another discussion to replace the missing one?
I'm assuming when you say "blank page" you mean just a white screen, with nothing. If that's the case check out your error log files in var/log/httpd and the mysql log file in /var/log/mysqld.log. These are usually first place I go when there are odd things or white pages showing up.
@skotmiller - I think that is where my next step is when time permits me to play with it.
@lilott8 - Oddly enough neither is showing anything but I think i am going to add some additional error checking an see where that goes.
Ok I just had time to checkout the database. Looks like the 1st disccussion in the group was started by the member that was deleted.
Looks like that even though I deleted the user thru the standard Elgg admin delete function there were several pieces of information left behind. This is what is causing havoc with this one group.
I guess now the question is. How do I clean out data that is left behind from users who have been deleted? Is this part of the garbage collector plugin?
The 1st message is still in the database. As well as other stuff that was left behind after the user was deleted..
How do I make Garbage Collector run or get rid of left behind data?
Is the garbage collector a cron item?
It is supposed to be triggered by cron or crontrigger
Check what you have it set for in the tools, the just goto: /pg/cron/(weekly,monthly, etc..)
See if that helps
Tried kicking that last night and nothing. DB entries are still there that should have been removed when the user was deleted
That's all my guesses. As a side question. what is the best way to check the whole database. to make sure is ok and optimized?
