Hi, I want to know if elgg is enable to work with 2 domains ..
I have 2 domains pointing to one installation of elgg and the secondary domain don't work,
I suspect that this was not prevised.
If someone have any idea of what I can do, please let me know.
Best regards, Elier

You must log in to post replies. Can't to that because site URL is stored in and used from database.
Site URL defined only in settings.php. And problem is in just one detail - it's hardcoded string, after changing to $SERVER variable Elgg can serve more than one domain (probably with small additional hacks)
Damn, you are right, I miss it. Sorry for previous post. Anyway, Tom wrote some hints in last message of this thread
Yes Tom did.. He's learning to hack the core good worklol ;;;-) I've learnt to live with such quirks but.. yes it would be nice to be able to define *all config settings type of params via settings.php only preferably in the root dir and then be able to point to DB, Elgg code, PlugIns, etc anywhere these live - that would give us flexibility and control at the top-most entry-point and not have to worry about confug data embedded somewhere else like in the database. I'll my imagined style of Elgg config design sometime later when I can find my notes.
