I'm having trouble getting Elgg to work with my subdomain. If I set the site URL to the full URL to the installation then the system works fine, but if i shorten the URL by using a subdomain then it breaks out of the subdomain and tries to go to the subdomain plus the rest of the directory structure:
INSTALLED AT: subdomain.domain.com/
subdomain.domain.com points to the directory: www.domain.com/site/community/
setting the site URL to: subdomain.domain.com
causes Elgg to point to: subdomain.domain.com/site/community
Does anyone have some advice that could get be back on track?

You must log in to post replies.you installed at "/site/community" first and then setup the subdomain, didn't you ?
look into yr table "elggsites_entity" and see what it says there
e.g.
"http://localhost/elgg15RELPKGS/" is the URL
guid name description url
1
L.elgg15REL
L.elgg15REL
http://localhost/elgg15RELPKGS/
so - i have elgg already installed.
I have a subdomain from another domain name setup to point to the "elgg install" using the ip address... so example below:
info.mydomain.com pointed to 44.987.333.34 where i have a redirect pointing to 44.987.333.34/info
I think i have to change this in my .htaccess and in the database but am hoping for some hepful info before I go messing with things! Can't break my site - co-workers find it useful! :)
thanks for any input!
